Free Event
Gender equality in humanitarian action is in crisis. The programmes that people in crisis depend on to address gender inequality in emergencies have been forced to shut down.
Social enterprise can be part of the solution to find sustainable funding for this important work.
A social enterprise is a business that trades for a social or environmental purpose. A feminist social enterprise is a business that trades to advance gender equality. Both are uncommon in the humanitarian sector.
Feminist social enterprises can be part of the solution is because they generate profits which are asset locked to support their mission. They don’t require donor funding. They reinvest the profits back into the humanitarian sector.
This is free networking event with the GiE Group together with Mak'Mara Sakit Village, HAG, and RMIT.
Come and connect with feminist social enterpreneurs to discuss how social enterprise can contribute to humanitarian action that advances gender equality.
